Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper.
  2. In a second shallow dish, add the eggs.
  3. In a third shallow dish, add the panko bread crumbs.
  4. One at a time, dip the tilapia fillets in the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally the panko bread crumbs, making sure to coat each side.
  5. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  6. Add the tilapia fillets, and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve with your favorite side dish.
