Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup of cooked chestnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 head of lettuce, washed and chopped
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a skillet, cook the bacon until it is crispy. Remove from heat and drain on a paper towel.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked bacon, chestnuts and lettuce. Toss to combine.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat.
  4. Serve the salad immediately.
