Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  3. If the hummus is too thick, add water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
