Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, jalapeno pepper, cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  2. Add the egg and mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and set aside.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the meatballs and cook for about 5 minutes, turning to brown evenly.
  6. Add the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
