Ingredients
- 2 lbs. round steak, cut into pieces
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Dredge the steak pieces in the flour mixture.
- In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and cook until golden and lightly browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove the steak from the pan and transfer to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste and parsley and stir to combine. Pour the tomato mixture over the steak pieces.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the steak is cooked through.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
