Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning until well coated. Set aside.
  2. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  7. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  9. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and gently combine with the pasta and sauce.
  10. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
