Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup finely chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add the vanilla and mix until incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the almonds and white chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough in half and, on a lightly floured surface, roll each half into a log about 10 inches (25 cm) long and 2 inches (5 cm) wide.
- Place the logs on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Cut the logs into slices about 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick.
- Place the slices back on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
