Ingredients

  • 2 pounds venison, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and diced
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and diced

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the venison cubes and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the smoked paprika, thyme, oregano, pepper, and salt, and stir to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
  6. Add the beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce and stir to combine.
  7. Add the carrots and potatoes and stir to combine.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
