Ingredients

  • 2 pounds round steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips, onion, bell pepper and garlic, and cook until the beef is lightly browned.
  2. Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker. Pour in the soy sauce, ginger, sugar and black pepper. Cover, and cook on Low for 4 hours.
  3. Serve over cooked rice.
