Ingredients
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of chili powder
- 1 tablespoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can of diced tomatoes
- 1 (12 ounce) bottle of beer
- 1 (15 ounce) can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can of black beans, drained and rinsed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
- Transfer the cooked beef to a slow cooker along with the onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, cayenne pepper, diced tomatoes, and beer. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 5-6 hours.
- Add the kidney beans and black beans and cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until the beans are heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
