Ingredients
- 1 pound string beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the string beans and blanch for 4 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
- Add the blanched string beans to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are lightly browned and crisp-tender.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Serve warm.
