Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound of Polish sausage, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon of caraway seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 package of frozen pierogies

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the Polish sausage slices over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the butter to the skillet and melt over medium heat.
  4. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cabbage, caraway seeds, marjoram, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook until the cabbage is tender, about 10 minutes.
  6. Add the pierogies to the skillet and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes.
  7. Add the sausage back to the skillet and stir to combine.
  8. Serve warm.
