Place the beef roast in the slow cooker. Add the onion, garlic, mushrooms, tomato paste, oregano, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper.
Cover and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender.
Remove the beef from the slow cooker and slice into thin pieces.
