Ingredients

  • 1 cup of starter sourdough
  • 1 ½ cup of warm water
  • 3 cups of bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the starter sourdough, warm water, bread flour, and salt.
  2. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise for at least 1 hour.
  4. Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down and knead it for a few more minutes.
  5. Form the dough into a round shape and transfer it to a greased baking sheet.
  6. Make a few slashes in the top of the dough and brush it with the honey.
  7. Bake the bread in a preheated 375°F oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
