Ingredients
- 1 cup farro
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Rinse the farro under cold water and drain.
- Turn on the Instant Pot and select the sauté function.
- Add olive oil, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed farro to the pot and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the vegetable broth, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set the pressure release valve to the sealing position.
- Select the manual pressure cooking setting and set the timer for 10 minutes.
- Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes. Then, carefully quick-release any remaining pressure.
