Ingredients
- 1 pound of tilapia fillets, cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice
- 4-6 warm corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup of freshly chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup of finely diced red onion
Directions
- In a medium bowl, combine the tilapia strips, olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until the fish is well-coated with the spices. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the marinated fish and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fish is cooked through.
- Remove the cooked fish from the skillet and place it in a bowl. Add the lime juice and cilantro to the fish and mix to combine.
