Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (14-ounce) jar fig jam
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla. Stir in the flour and salt until well blended. The mixture will be crumbly.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread the fig jam evenly over the crust.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the top of the fig jam. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
