Ingredients

  • 8 ounces lo mein or spaghetti noodles
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Directions

  1. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  7. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and add the cooked noodles.
  8. Pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp, noodles, and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
