With just a few simple steps, you can create a show-stopping dish that is sure to please everyone at the table.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-10 pound) fully cooked bone-in ham
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan and score the skin in a diamond pattern.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, orange juice, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Brush the glaze all over the ham, making sure to coat the entire surface.
  5. Arrange the orange slices on top of the ham, securing them with toothpicks if necessary.
  6. Cover the roasting pan with foil and bake for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, or until the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140°F (60°C). Baste the ham with the glaze every 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil during the last 15 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  8. Once cooked, transfer the ham to a serving platter and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  9. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and serve warm.
