Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Directions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until softened and lightly browned. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook until the mushrooms are tender.
- Sprinkle the flour over the onion and mushroom mixture, and stir to coat everything evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.
- Slowly pour in the beef broth while stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened.
- Reduce the heat to low, and stir in the sour cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the beef is heated through and the flavors have melded together.
- Serve the JayBeez beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or rice. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for added freshness and color.
