Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the pork chops on both sides with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear on both sides until nicely browned, about 3 minutes per side. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Stir well to combine and bring the sauce to a simmer.
  6. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pork chops are cooked through.
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the pork chops with the sauce spooned over the top. Enjoy with mashed potatoes and vegetables on the side.
