Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450g) fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup (113g) butter
  • 1/2 cup (62g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (473ml) milk
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the flour to the melted butter and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, ensuring there are no lumps.
  5. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 5 minutes, or until it thickens.
  7. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the sauce and mix well.
