Ingredients

  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 wedges
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into 8 wedges
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer or in a large, deep pot to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix the flour, eggs, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Dip each apple and brie wedge into the flour mixture, coating both sides.
  4. Carefully drop the wedges into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Remove the wedges from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
