Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of long-grain white rice
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of raisins
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine rice, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender, about 20 minutes.
- Stir in the raisins and simmer for 5 minutes more.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cream.
- Serve warm or chilled.
