Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into small nugget-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, onion powder, oregano, and basil.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
  4. In a third shallow dish, place the bread crumbs.
  5. Dredge each chicken nugget in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and then coat with the bread crumbs.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  7. Fry the chicken nuggets in batches, making sure not to crowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from the pan and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
