Ingredients
- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 3 tablespoons of butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1 20-ounce can of apple pie filling
- 1/3 cup of light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
- 1/4 cup of confectioners' sugar
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, 3 tablespoons of melted butter, and the eggs until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Add the apple pie filling to the cake mix mixture and stir until combined.
- Spread the cake mixture into the prepared pan and sprinkle with the cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves mixture.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon of cloves.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the top of the cake and drizzle with the remaining melted butter.
- Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together the confectioners' sugar and 2 tablespoons of water until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the top of the cake and let cool before serving.
