Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions

Directions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Add the diced onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
