Ingredients
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 cups rhubarb, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Stir in rhubarb and strawberries. Pour into an 8 inch square baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, cut butter into 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/2 cup sugar until crumbly. Stir in milk until mixture is moistened. Drop spoonfuls of mixture over rhubarb and strawberry mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm.
