Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well, then shape into a loaf on a greased baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and brown sugar. Spread over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 165°F.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
