Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti noodles and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve the spaghetti with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese, if desired.
