Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. This will be the marinade for the steak.
  2. Place the flank steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Rub the marinade into the steak, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for better flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeno pepper into thin strips.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced vegetables and sauté until they are slightly tender, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
  5. Remove the marinated steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. Drain the excess marinade.
  6. Place the steak on a cutting board and slice it across the grain into thin strips. Each strip should be about 2 inches wide.
  7. Take a strip of steak and place a few sautéed vegetables on one end. Roll the steak tightly around the vegetables and secure with a wooden skewer. Repeat with the remaining steak and vegetables.
  8. Grill the steak rolls for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Keep an eye on them as they cook quickly due to their small size.
  9. Remove the steak rolls from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot as an appetizer or main course. Enjoy!
