Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. This will be the marinade for the steak.
- Place the flank steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Rub the marinade into the steak, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for better flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell pepper, red onion, and jalapeno pepper into thin strips.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced vegetables and sauté until they are slightly tender, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
- Remove the marinated steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. Drain the excess marinade.
- Place the steak on a cutting board and slice it across the grain into thin strips. Each strip should be about 2 inches wide.
- Take a strip of steak and place a few sautéed vegetables on one end. Roll the steak tightly around the vegetables and secure with a wooden skewer. Repeat with the remaining steak and vegetables.
- Grill the steak rolls for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Keep an eye on them as they cook quickly due to their small size.
- Remove the steak rolls from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot as an appetizer or main course. Enjoy!
