Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 6-8 small flour or corn tortillas

Directions

  1. In a shallow baking dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lime juice, sugar, cumin, and oregano.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, cilantro, and red onion. Add the mayonnaise mixture and toss to combine.
