Rocky Road Turtles Cake

Ingredients

• 1 package of chocolate cake mix
• 3 eggs
• 1/2 cup of oil
• 1 cup of water
• 1 bag of caramel candies
• 1 cup of chopped nuts (almonds, peanuts, walnuts, etc.)
• 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Mix until batter is smooth.
3. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or cooking spray and pour in the cake batter.
4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
5. Allow cake to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and place on a wire rack to cool completely.
6. In a small bowl, combine the caramel candies, chopped nuts, and chocolate chips. Mix until ingredients are evenly distributed.
7. Spread the topping evenly over the top of the cooled cake.
8. Slice and serve.
