Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of your choice (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (optional)
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (optional)
  • Honey or maple syrup, to taste (optional)

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, milk, chia seeds, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir well to combine.
  3. Add the chopped nuts, dried fruit, and nut butter (if using) and stir to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired, adding honey or maple syrup if needed.
  5. Divide the mixture among 8-10 small mason jars or other airtight containers.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Serve cold with additional toppings, if desired.
