Ingredients

  • Fondant
  • Food coloring
  • Powdered sugar
  • Rolling pin
  • Knife
  • Paint brush
  • Gold luster dust
  • Vodka

Directions

  1. Mix the fondant with a few drops of food coloring to get the desired color.
  2. Roll the fondant out on a surface lightly dusted with powdered sugar.
  3. Cut out seven petals with a knife.
  4. Arrange the petals in a flower shape. Start with the larger petals and work your way to the smaller petals.
  5. Attach the petals together with a paint brush and a small amount of water.
  6. Mix a small amount of gold luster dust with a few drops of vodka to make a paint-like consistency.
  7. Paint the petals with the gold luster dust mixture.
  8. Attach the poinsettia to the cake.
