- 2 large potatoes
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions
- Peel and grate the potatoes and onion into a large bowl.
- Add the garlic, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano, and mix until combined.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Form the potato mixture into small patties and carefully place in the hot oil.
- Fry for 4-5 minutes, then flip and fry for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite condiments.
