Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chiles
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 (6 inch) flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is tender. Drain off any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the green chiles, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Warm the tortillas according to the package directions.
  4. To assemble the tacos, spoon the beef mixture into each tortilla and top with salsa and cheese. Serve immediately.
