Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can chili beans
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (4.5 ounce) can chopped green chilies
- 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
- 2 cups water
- 3 cups uncooked macaroni noodles
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the chili beans, tomatoes, green chilies, taco seasoning mix, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the macaroni noodles. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until noodles are tender. Stir in the cilantro.
- Transfer to a serving dish, and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
