Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dates, pitted and chopped
  • 3 ounces dark chocolate, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper or foil, set aside.
  2. Spread almonds and oats on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly toasted. Transfer to a bowl and add the honey, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until combined.
  3. Stir in the dates and chopped chocolate. Spread the mixture in the prepared pan and press down firmly with a spatula or your hands to make an even layer.
  4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
