Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and sauté for 5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned.
- Add the white wine and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes more.
- Stir in the oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
