Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large bowl, stir together the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add the melted butter and stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add to the egg mixture and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool before cutting into squares.
